Sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time. For one passenger aboard a catamaran cruising near Argentina’s Upsala Glacier, that day was capturing the glacier flipping into the ocean on video.

The glacier was once one of the biggest in Argentina but has been melting quite rapidly. Often when a glacier melts, it will flip as well. But it’s not so often that the motion is videotaped.

Catch footage of the rare occurrence here.

  1. To be clear for anyone reading this who doesn’t know; its an iceberg, it was calved by the glacier but its and iceberg and its icebergs that flip not glaciers.
