Tourist Breaks Off Finger From Ancient Italian Statue

Look but don’t touch should always be taken to heart, especially when overseas. And especially in museums with ancient art.

For one man, the rule still didn’t apply as the “hapless” American visitor to Florence’s  Museo dell’Opera del Duomo was found to have broken the pinky finger off of a 600-year-old statue.

It isn’t clear on how the incident happened (definitely not from a fist bump), but the man could be fined for the damages, which have yet to be assessed.
