Shiny new iPhone app The Cartographer recalls “a time when maps were works of art”. Indeed.

The app seamlessly syncs with Google My Maps (Google’s custom mapping software). A sleek interface provides a unique, vintage-style look at each of your custom maps, with the ability to browse, edit and share personal points of interest. But the real win for travelers is the option to view your maps offline, letting you avoid roaming charges.

If the $1.99 price alone isn’t enough to entice you, check out the slick intro video and additional details at The Cartographer website.
