They say that sex sells. And this week, former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s latest sex scandal is the basis of Spirit Airlines’ sale, “The Weiner Rises Again.”
The airline’s promotion is $24 off vacation packages to Cancun or Los Cabos for travel from August 19 through November 21, 2013.
Spirit is no stranger to carefully-timed promotions tied to politics. The airline had previously marketed a special sale alongside Weiner’s sex scandal in 2011, in addition to promotions last year specific to the 2012 U.S. presidential race.
