Fans of the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones” have many travel options with the summer travel season in full swing.

The fantasy series is filmed in three countries–Croatia, Iceland, and Morocco. Dubrovnik, Croatia was chosen as the site of the King’s landing in 2011. Many natural, Icelandic sites have been used for filming such as Lake Mývatn and Hverfell Crater. Ouarzazate, Morocco is known for scenes featuring “GoT” character Daenerys Targaryen, and it was also used to film “Gladiator” and “Troy”.
