You might not think that soccer and resort tourism go hand in hand, but Real Madrid’s plans for a resort in the UAE will be sports-friendly–and massive.
The extravagant and luxe UAE only seems fitting for the world’s richest soccer team. Real Madrid’s resort will be on its own island in Ras al-Khaimah. It is expected to open in 2015 and will house sports training facilities, a 10,000-seat stadium, marina, a Real Madrid museum, a residential area and an amusement park.
