In a scene straight out of a crime television show, a real human skeleton was uncovered among the piles of fake bones at the London Dungeon attraction.

There are unconfirmed suspicions the skeleton could have been’smuggled’ from the Far East to be used in dissection by early British anatomists.

Since the real bones have been discovered, the London Dungeon must decide if they are willing to pay £2,000 a year for a licence from the Human Tissues Authority.

Spokesman Mark Oakley told TravelMail:

We have yet to decide [what to do]. We’ve even talked about giving them a dignified burial. We’re still mulling that. We’ll probably go and look at some artificial skeletons and see how good they are.

One things for sure, this unexpected discovery gives the London Dungeon experience a new found eeriness.
