The work involved in creating a scaled version of London at the Sand Museum in Tottori, Japan hasn’t exactly been a day at the beach.

Sand sculptors have been working on the elaborate replica to honor the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The exhibit is expected to open on April 14th and run through January 2013. The exhibit includes Westminster Abbey, popular row houses seen throughout the city, and icons of England such as the Royal family and the works of Shakespeare.
