A 13-year-old girl who refused to leave the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport for months is now in protective custody.

The girl, Luo Siqi, first started loitering in the airport in July but remained under the radar of police until August. She was dressed in a uniform she bought online to look like a China Southern Airlines flight attendant and admits that she has purchased the uniform for all four seasons. The police escorted her twice to a Guangzhou children’s welfare center, but the girl kept returning to the airport and simply refused to leave.

Luo aspires to be a flight attendant one day and, unhappy with her living arrangement in foster care, decided that the best time to start pursuing her dream was now. I think we all understand her wanderlust spirit and dire need to get. away. now.
