Ever get the feeling while train after train passes by either filled to the brim or out of service that you just need to punch something? Like, immediately? Thanks to some clever marketing from Adidas, now commuters in Shanghai can do just that. From Metro:

The giant bags allow tired, angry or drunk commuters to take out their frustrations on someone other than staff, who usually bear the brunt of bad tempers.

Posted above the installations are messages that say: ‘Every year you have to wait on the platform for about 1,824 minutes.

‘Don’t waste your time, come and have a punch to relieve some tension!’

Not a bad idea. In New York, this will undoubtedly be a great way to give locals the chance to warm up a bit before pummeling one another to relieve their stress.

  1. Anybody around the world who complains about their local train service must travel during rush hour in the second class “gents” compartment of a Mumbai local train. Every other train journey after that will feel like a 5 star cruise.
