Kangaroo joeys orphaned by car accidents are sometimes taken in by human families. Oliver here will spend his first year in this fleecy pouch — and occasionally, with Port Lincoln tourists.

This adorable little fellah hung out with us for much of the day on our journey to South Australia. If ever you needed a reason to visit the land down under, I think this is a darn good one.

  1. I’ve been sending this photo out left and right ever since she posted it. I can’t believe I got to meet him. The photo literally brings joy to people’s otherwise lousy days, I’ve noticed.

    Brava, Melanie!
