Competitive eater Joey “Jaws” Chestnut has triumphed once again at Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, beating his own record in the over-the-top event that is held every Independence Day on Coney Island. Chestnut downed 69 hot dogs to claim his seventh consecutive title in the well-known competition. This establishes a new record for the most hot dogs eaten in the contest, breaking the old record that Chestnut set in 2009.
