Mexican Theme Park Experience Includes Fake Illegal Border Crossing

Other parks might have spooky haunted houses or 3-D interactive rides that push all your buttons to make you scream, but Parque EcoAlberto has an attraction designed to scare you straight.

The Night Walk simulates the dangers of making an illegal border crossing from Mexico to the United States and is intended to deter young people who may be considering an escape to the US. The park is about 800 miles away from the actual border and participants are faced with having to avoid barking dogs, searchlights, fences and other obstacles on the seven-mile hike led by a “smuggler.”
