There’s no yellow brick road to lead you to the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine, but once you find your way there you’ll get a glimpse behind the curtain at many items connected to the making of the various movies and productions of The Wizard of Oz.

Filmmaker Willard Carroll and his partner have amassed the world’s largest collection of material relating to The Wizard of Oz, encompassing more than 10,000 items including rare costumes and props from the 1939 movie. 107 pieces from the collection have just been put on show at the Farnsworth, in an exhibit that will last until March 2014.
