Charter Flights from Baltimore to Cuba to Begin

In another sign that loosening market restrictions in Cuba are leading to loosening travel restrictions for Americans hoping to visit the island, weekly flights between Baltimore’s BWI airport and Havana will begin next year.

Island Travel & Tours Ltd., along with its partner, Sky King Inc. will offer weekly charter service beginning March 21.

I can say from personal experience that it’s definitely worth a trip.

  1. I’ve been to Cuba before, as well, and we were supposed to go back for Semester at Sea next month, but our travel license hasn’t gone through so we’re detouring to Guatemala instead! Super bummed; I really wanted to go back before it becomes overrun with Americans.

  2. Meh. I want to drive my own car there like people did in the 50s. When they resume ferry service from Key West, I’ll go.
