Seven of Woody Allen’s last eight films have been set in Europe and have appealed to his fans so much, that they’re boosting European tourism. Allen’s latest is set in Rome, which adds to his other European film locations in Paris, Barcelona and London.

FilmLondon which helped attract Allen to film “Match Point” in London, has used stills and footage from Allen’s London-based films to attract tourists. Allen is also credited with filming his movies from the perspective of the tourist–

Allen makes these cities look so enticing, in fact, that a cottage industry of city tours has sprung up to allow tourists to literally follow in his protagonists’ footsteps.
