A video taken of airplanes landing (or attempting to land) at Dusseldorf International Airport with winds of 35 knots, and gusts of up to 55 knots is creating quite a stir online. The planes from well known international carriers are shown precariously wobbling as they approach the runway and they touch down in the windy conditions.
The footage was caught by airplane enthusiast Martin Bogdan and was posted to YouTube on January 5th, 2012. The video quickly went viral and has over 2 million views on YouTube.
After watching, it’s going to be hard not to burst into spontaneous applause the next time my flight lands safely one the ground–regardless of weather conditions.
