In today’s From the Tips Box, Lifehacker user Aim4WhirledPeas shares this clever little nugget:

I’m traveling to a conference this weekend, and was trying to figure out how to make my carry-on TSA compliant. The one thing I was getting hung up on was bringing a tiny amount of hair pomade with me (I only need a finger tip amount!). The full size jar is massive, which would limit me from taking any other liquids in my 1 qt ziploc. I realized that I could fill up an old contact case with pomade, and voila! Single-serving packet that won’t make a mess and doesn’t take up much space.

Brilliant!
