A tourist in Granada, Spain spent the night in prison after being caught carving his initials on a wall in the Alhambra palace.

The Alhambra is considered one of the greatest examples of Moorish architecture. Luckily, according to officials, the spot where the etching occurred can be restored.

Note to all tourists in Granada: The Alhambra is a USESCO World Heritage site, not a bathroom stall in a dive bar.

  1. Awful! Recently we were in Copenhagen and climbed The Church of Our Saviour, it’s the exposed spiral steeple. My partner climbed to the top and noticed a man, yes an adult, carving his name in the copper flashing on the steeple! He told him to stop and the ‘tourist’ motioned with his hands and mumbled something. People like that shouldn’t be allowed to leave their homes.
