Facebook and Twitter users answered the call and voted Lake Tahoe as the United States’ best lake in a recent USA Today survey.
More than 5,000 votes were cast in the survey. So what exactly makes the northern California lake so special? Year-round recreation, casinos, historic homes, breathtaking views and it’s big enough to cover two states (Nevada, in case you weren’t sure).
