The next you reach for the TV remote in your hotel room, you might want to think twice. A recent study produced by three U.S. universities has been released, detailing the most contaminated areas and objects of hotel rooms. Researchers tested hotels in Texas, Indiana and South Carolina.
At the top of the list are remote controls and bedside lamp switches. Some of the highest levels of bacteria were also found in cleaning items in housekeeping carts, e.g. sponges.
