Paris’ iconic Eiffel Tower may see a new addition very soon. If plans to extend the landmark are approved by the Paris Council, the tower will be extended underground.
The Council will meet this week to make a decision on the extension. Ticket booths, an Eiffel Tower museum, a children’s area and other amenities would be housed in the proposed underground addition. Adding more space underground for ticket booths would cut down on long lines wrapping around the Tower during visiting hours.
