Italian Mayor Bans Death, Says Cemetery is Full

No one looks forward to their last days, but the mayor of a village south of Naples, Italy is now telling his residents that they’re banned from dying. And he’s dead serious.

The village of Falciano del Massico does not have enough room in their local cemetery to accommodate more bodies. As of March, mayor Giulio Cesare Fava officially declared the ban, with rather interesting results–

Shortly after declaring the ban, Fava said, The ordinance has brought happiness. Unfortunately, two elderly citizens disobeyed.
