Eager owners are taking to the internet to sell their timeshares for mere pennies. One owner was so desperate to sell his timeshare last year and dropped the price from $500 to 1 cent. He successfully sold it, with the buyer paying an extra $455 a year in maintenance fees.
Many owners just want to get out from under the maintenance fees, but they are discovering that it may be even harder to sell a timeshare than it is a single family house in Detroit.
