Haworth Parish, the Haworth Village church housing the final resting place of Emily and Charlotte Brontë, is facing financial troubles.
A total of £1.25 million is needed to pay for repairs of the church, mostly due to water damage. At the present time, the parish has collected £28,000.
The Brontës called the village home starting in 1820. Both Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights were written while the Brontës lived there.
