In an effort to increase tourism, two towns separated by the Atlantic Ocean are linking up as twin cities. And for the record, this really is true and not news from the The Onion.

Boring, Oregon and Dull, Scotland are the two smalls towns in question. With a joint campaign to welcome tourists to Dull and Boring, residents are hoping  dismiss their towns’ less than desirable names. They recently set up a Facebook page, gaining more ‘likes’ every day.

You can find more on their tourism efforts at The Daily Mail.
