Is the M25 London’s version of Route 66? A bus company in the UK would like you to think that. Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company is offering coach tours of the 117-mile orbital highway for visitors to the UK.
The M25–mocked as ‘Britain’s biggest car park’ for its congestion and eternal roadworks–was opened in 1986 and cost the UK £909 million.
For just £15 tourists can spend 4-hours on the road BBC Radio 4 listeners voted the most hated place in Britain.
Passengers will also enjoy a running commentary with ”˜interesting facts about the motorway’s evolution’ and there are contests to guess the distance travelled by the coach with a bottle of champagne for the winner.
The tour takes in ‘amazing sights’ which include Epping Forest, Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Five, Lakeside and the Dartford River Crossing bridge.
