Last week, when Louhe city zoo’s African lion was moved to a breeding facility, it was replaced with a Tibetan mastiff. And officials hoped the swap would fool everyone, even though it wasn’t a success.

The particular breed of dog closely resembles a lion more than any other, but zoo patrons still weren’t happy. Located in the People’s Park of Luohe, the zoo is also known to house another dog, and a fox in wolf and leopard exhibits respectively.

More details on the zoo’s mishap can be seen at NPR.
