Enormous Chinese tour groups traipsing around Europe and the USA could soon be a thing of the past, according to a new tourism report.
ITB World Travel Trends Report suggested that the change in Chinese travel habits is due to the rising number of educated young professionals in China. These young Chinese travelers are breaking away from the group and indulging in more high quality experiences instead of the low-cost group option.
“While visiting as many attractions as possible remains an important part of a tour, factors such as relaxation and entertainment have now moved further up the wish list. For many Chinese people shopping is still one of their favorite activities when traveling abroad”
