As if a 13-hour flight wasn’t long enough, United Flight 857’s journey from San Francisco to Shanghai turned into a three-day adventure.
Three hours into the flight, the plane was diverted to Anchorage due to broken toilets. Once another plane arrived, it was grounded due to mechanical problems, which then led to the passengers waiting a total of three days till they reached their final destination.
Said one passenger, ‘it was just one thing after the other. It was honestly unbelievable. We couldn’t believe it. It definitely was the flight from hell.’
