Last June, Malaysian Airlines banned infants from first class seating and has now extended the ban to include select economy seating.
Children younger than 12 will not be allowed to sit in the upstairs economy seating on Malaysian Airlines’ Airbus A380s. The seating exclusion may be controversial, but it is targeted to business travelers wishing for a more restful trip. Malaysian Airlines is the first to introduce child-free seating, but other carriers, including British Airways, have been urged to offer the seating option.
