You may feel like royalty (or be haunted by ghosts) in a new Mexico City hotel built within a 17th-century palace.
DOWNTOWN recently opened in June and is the vision of Cherem Serrano Arquitectos and hotelier Grupo Habita. The 17-room hotel was built with most of the palace’s original features preserved. A rooftop terrace was added, but the design is a reflection of not only the original structure, but the energy of the neighborhood as well.
