Geologists recently discovered that the inner stone rings of Stonehenge match those of an outcrop in Wales.
The other stones were most likely quarried 20-30 miles away from the current site, but a mystery still remains. How did the inner stones travel 160 miles from Wales to England?
The geologists believe that one of two theories can explain the move””humans moving the stones, or glacial movement. Further information on the geological findings can be found here.
