Kids now-a-days… occupying Wall Street, toppling Middle Eastern governments. Back in the good-old-bavarian-days people in the village of Mitterfirmiansreut took a stand by building a church out of snow. That’s right, they constructed a church made entirely of snow to protest the fact that there was not a traditional church in their village.
Now, a century later, the people of Mitterfirmiansreut re-created their historical church of ice and snow. Building the church required more than 1,400 cubic meters of snow, and it is more than 20 meters (65 feet) long and boasts a tower.
Check out beautiful photos of the snow church at the Huffington Post.
