Convinced that modern Britain has forgotten the true meaning of the holiday season, Fiona Turton of Brighton, England, is renting out her stable to help families get back in touch with the “reason for the season”
Ms Turton said: “I love the idea of renting out my stable to people wanting to get a little closer to Christmas.”
“By providing guests with an authentic nativity experience, I hope they can rediscover the true meaning of Christmas and all money goes to a great cause.”
For 12 pounds a night wannabe Marys and Josephs can get the stable fully equipped with a straw bed for two, an armchair, a manger and a donkey. Shepherd costumes, bath towels and WiFi are also available for an additional fee. However, the management does not provide a baby Jesus, the venue is strictly BYOM (bring your own messiah.)
