Vermont’s Burlington International has recently installed the first-ever “Lactation Station”.
Nursing mothers don’t always have the most comfortable options when pumping milk while traveling. The new station not only allows comfort, but privacy as well. The single free-standing kiosk is equipped with a fold-down table, power outlet, and enough space to fit a stroller and luggage. The station was designed by Burlington-based Mamava, a company headed by a working mom.
The company is hoping to bring stations to other airports, but Burlington’s station is still in a test phase until that time. Read more on Mamava’s new innovation at NBC News.
