London’s restaurateurs are embracing the idea of re-use, by setting up shop in former public toilets.
But don’t worry””everything is hygienic and suitable for food service. At the newest establishment Story, which opened in April, the menu offers up crab with smoked leek, rapeseed, pear and lovage; lamb bread, sheep yogurt and wild garlic; and beef cheek, stout and cauliflower yeast.
The Attendant, a toilet-turned-cafe uses many of the original fixtures, including a hand drier and a teak office door.
