With the city nearing Chapter 9 bankruptcy and neighborhoods ranking as the most dangerous in the U.S., Detroit could use some good news. Or at least a list of great reasons to visit the city.
Travel site Gadling has counted down 10 reasons why the city should be on a traveler’s to-visit list. Taking in a Tigers game at Comerica Park is an obvious choice, but the list also highlights the lesser-known neighborhoods known for their Irish and Latino roots. And if that’s not enough, there’s an abundance of crepe shops!
