High atop the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore, you’ll found a swimming pool not for the faint at heart, or those suffering from vertigo.
Welcome to the world’s longest, elevated pool. Jump in and don’t be afraid–it is only an illusion that you feel like you’re going to plummet to your death. The “vanishing edge” that gives this illusion is also seen in the adjacent spa, part of the the hotel’s SkyPark complex (which includes parks, gardens, restaurants, a bar, and a nightclub).
The pool is restricted to hotel guests, but those wishing to view the facilities, can purchase a ticket to the SkyPark observation deck.
More information on the pool and details of one swimmer’s account can be found here.
