We’ve been loving booq’s sleek backpacks for years now. And we really dug the Boa Flow backpack way, way back in 2009 (was the internet even around then?). Now, booq’s completely reswizzled the popular bag to be bigger, better and stronger.

The Skinny
In booq’s own words, the Boa Flow was designed with this in mind:
Trying to find a way to fit stuff into backpacks is always a process. With the Boa flow, the bag adapts to your stuff. With pockets for absolutely everything you’d want to carry, and even multiple pockets for the same item, the Boa flow will acclimate to your day, week long trip, or lifestyle. And it does so with maximum style and comfort.
The Traveler’s Take
The design of booq’s entire line has always been about “urban stealth”. They’ve made a conscious effort to eschew the typical latchpoints, carabiners, clips and what-have-you common in backcountry packs for a fully streamlined design that means you won’t stand out in the crowd. Particularly useful for travelers looking to fly below the reader without screaming: “Look how much awesome (and expensive!) tech I’m traveling with!”
Layout of the new Boa Flow focuses on the storage needs of today’s traveler, specifically the increasing amount of gear and accessories. The large interior capacity means it’s capable of carrying up to a 17″ laptop, DSLR camera with lenses, large headphones, iPad, documents and a whole lot more including all the requisite cables and accessories required to make everything above work. There are pockets for just about everything, as well as a malleable interior with a collapsible main frame that adapts to your personal stuff instead of the other way around.
And it’s all wrapped in a tough, 1680 denier ballistic nylon exterior with water-repellent coating. It’s designed to be worn all day with an airmesh back padding that increases comfort and allows heat to escape. Plus, the Flow’s ergonomically designed strap system conforms to virtually any body type and has 3 points of adjustment to allow for proper load distribution.
We think it’s a solid all-around pack for travelers looking to carry a boatload of kit in a relatively compact bag.
