The culinary world is full of gimmicks, from the $500 sundae, to meals eaten in the dark, and every other concept imaginable, sometimes it seems as though the act of eating has been already been approached from every conceivable angle. Then someone comes along and does something new.
Dinner in the Sky is a new dining experience planned for Las Vegas that will be unlike anything you’ve ever encountered in Sin City. Guests will enjoy their meal while suspended 180 feet in the air, from an entirely new vantage point above the Las Vegas skyline.
The experience will last about an hour, which seems a bit rushed to me, but the return to terra firma may not come soon enough for some skittish diners. Personally, I’m not sure that I could stomach it. Heights are no problem, but the thought of being face to face with a gigantic billboard of Donny and Marie while I’m eating is highly unsettling.
