On the continuum of “fast” and “on-the-go” foods, I’m not sure sushi should rank that highly. Some folks clearly disagree, as evidenced by Sushi Popper – a company marketing frozen, pre-sliced sushi in a tube. Think Freezie Pops for kids, but fishier.
Like fried beer and the Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheeseburger we recently reported on, I’m not sure what to make of this. It seems equal parts awesome … and disgusting.
Available in three flavors, including California, Cucumber, or Spicy Shrimp Roll, Sushi Poppers arrive packed in dry ice, can be frozen for up to thirty days and simply thawed when you’re read to snack. It even comes with soy sauce in the handle. Odd.
At $35 USD for a 6-pack, they’re not cheap but not that expensive either. Available directly from SushiPopper.com.
