While on a night time hike in the jungles of Peru, Phil Torres discovered a teeny spider that creates a mirror image web decoy five times its size.

The five millimeter long spider hides behind the decoy, probably built of dust and small debris, and vibrates it to make it look more fearsome. While Torres is still waiting for the official arachnid word of authenticity, the experts he has contacted say they’ve never seen anything like it. They believe the tiny spider to be in the genus Cyclosa, which also makes decoys in their webs, but none so complex and detailed as this.
