A Russian inventor has crafted a mobile sauna — an old military truck fitted with a fully functioning sauna.

The truck is fitted with an 88 gallon overhead tank, fired by a wood burning stove to provide steam.
It makes sense that the idea comes from Russia. Russians are known for their love of banyas, or bath houses which are as much social meeting places as health joints. Customers frequently get together with friends to sweat out the toxins, and participate in “birch whisking” — hitting themselves with birch leaves to keep the blood flowing — and finish the entire experience with a plunge into icy cold water.
An hour in the sauna will set you back just over $40US per hour.
The pictures don’t look exactly glamorous, but this idea might prove a hit if he parks his “hot wheels” (get it?) outside restaurants and other hang outs.
