Here’s an interesting travel hack from Brad Tuttle, via MSNBC: getting a moving van instead of a rental car to save some cash. They might not be fun to drive, but with rental car rates skyrocketing it turns out that moving vans can actually be cheaper in some situations. For Florida man Michael Krause, the difference was clear:
They went with the truck, and even after factoring in added costs for gas ”” moving trucks aren’t known for fuel efficiency ”” Krause estimates that they saved $800 to $900.
Plus you don’t have to worry about whether there’s enough room in the trunk for your luggage!
