Most internships are a raw deal. You get to work for several months for little or no pay, solely for the privilege of having something mildly impressive to add to your resume.
The Sierra Club has a much different deal in store for its interns. The successful candidates to their Best Internship on Earth competition will have their travel expenses covered as they journey across America showcasing and working to preserve the country’s natural spaces. The two interns will also be paid a salary and receive $1,000 worth of gear. The program is open to college students and recent grads 18 years or older.
