A new 90-second PSA made by a creative production company called Shilo, in collaboration with Ogilvy and Mather, MTV and others recently debuted. It aims to drive support to the oppressed people of Burma who have been suffering in the aftermath of devastating cyclone Nargis.

The opening shot of the hauntingly beautiful clip features a group of fighter planes taking off on their purposeful journey. As they reach the skies over Burma, the planes drop millions of flowers, falling like rescuing paratroopers all over the Land of Pagodas, where more than 80 percent of the people are peace loving, non-violent Buddhists. The clip ends with a call to action to visit MTVBurmaAction.com, a website by the Burma Arts Board.
Visitors can send their support to the Burmese people, and learn more about the devastating cyclone and ways in which they can help.
The makers hope the clip will go viral, and launch a wave of support that will finally bring much needed relief to these people, many of whom have been born with no concept of freedom or the civil liberties we take for granted. The country’s rulers have in the days after the cyclone blocked foreign aid from entering the country, to crush their spirits further.
