Thieves made off with $1.7M in a brazen heist on Venice’s famous waterways. Moments after a courier boat pulled away from the dock, a boat carrying three armed robbers pulled alongside it. The courier boat was laden with cases of banknotes and coins to be transported to local banks of post offices. The bandits got away with two cases of banknotes, but left behind a case of coins.
