The Dallas-Fort Worth airport is on a mission to become one of the healthiest airports. To that end they have created such amenities as napping centres, massage therapy clinic, and yoga studio. Now they’ve brought in the Bee Gees.
It’s more than just a little musical interlude. For the next six months there will be an automated kiosk at the airport designed to teach you the latest CPR techniques while you wait for your flight. The device teaches a Hands-Only style of CPR that does not involve administering mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Where the brothers Gibb come into it is that the machine advises using the beat of the song Stayin’ Alive as a guide for the frequency and rhythm of pulses to the patient’s chest.
Find out more about this on NBC News. Just don’t blame me if you have that song in your head for the entire flight.
