The pair surf in a tandem arrangement similar to how novice skydivers to take tandem jumps with an instructor. No equipment exists for such an endeavor, so they improvised. Honore cut leg holes in the bottom of a department store backpack, which she uses to strap her herself onto the surfer’s back, and they are then fastened together with huge amounts of duct tape before taking to the waves.
